Leon D, 37 of Newport passed away Aug 4 at St. Elizabeth Ft. Thomas. He was a bartender and event planner. Leon is survived by his loving mother Emma Hughes, sister Lisa Alfred, many family members and loving and devoted partner Robert Tepe. Visitation will be held Tues, Aug 12 from 1pm – 3:30 pm at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, 822 York St, Newport. A celebration and benefit of Leon’s life will be held immediately following at the Syndicate/Gangsters, 18 E. 5th St, Newport. Donations are requested to US Bank, 810 Monmouth St, Newport, KY 41071 in memory of Leon Hughes and in care of Robert Tepe. Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Newport serving the family.
