Helen passed away on August 25, 2026, losing her battle with cancer. She was born in Jackson, Kentucky, and was one of thirteen children.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bill, and three children: Lance (Cindy), Jami Verdin (Steve) and Brandon (Britt). Helen also had six grandchildren and two twin great-granddaughters.
Helen lived a wonderful life full of travels all over the world and had hobbies of golf and tennis. As she got older, she became very interested in the stock market, being an avid student and researcher, which resulted in great success.
She often spoke of a life well lived and had wonderful friends and family. Helen requested a private, family-only memorial instead of a funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to:
