Uncle Jack was my pastor and great uncle, he married my husband and I 17 years ago, but more than that he came into our life just as we were engaged and taught us a series called “principles of a healthy marriage” that absolutely laid the foundation for our faith and our family as we got married at ages 19 & 20. His investment in us as a couple I would consider definitely as one of the many many treasures he laid up in heaven. I will never forget his smile his hugs his passion and his love. Whenever we would part, He would always say “you are precious, read your Bibles, and pray.” He was hands-down one of the most influential men in my life . Forever grateful for him.

My parents and brother all were born again because Brother Jack visited my mom in the hospital and led her to the Lord. When I got saved years later he used to mail his sermon tapes for me to listen to that really helped me grow as a new Christian. We called them a “sack of Jack” because they would be mailed in a brown paper bag. He also drove all the way to Georgia to share the gospel of Jesus at our wedding to my mostly lost friends and family in 2002. He was a faithful man of God whom I loved dearly. His light shined brightly and brought glory to our Father in heaven. I am sad he is temporarily gone, but I rejoice greatly that I will see him again.
