James W. “FUNI” Funicelli January 25, 1955 - February 3, 2018

James W. "FUNI" Funicelli, age 63 passed away at his home on Feb. 3. Devoted and
beloved father to Angela (Justin), husband to Lora, brother to Carol Funicelli,
uncle to Chris and Nick Liu. He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and
Phyllis. Funi was a friend to many and a stranger to none. Nothing existed on
wheels that he couldn’t fix or wouldn’t drive. If you needed help with an auto,
he was your guy. Funi did not let illness define him or slow him down. He
stopped at nothing to live his life the fullest, to give his all to family and
friends. A memorial to celebrate his life and love of cars & Chinese buffets
will be held Saturday, March 3, Bishop Brossart High School, Hegenauer Hall, 4
Grove Street Alexandria, KY 41001, 3 - 7 p.m. We hope that you will drive your
favorite or classic car in his honor. Memorials may be sent to The OSUCCC –
James Cancer, 660 Ackerman Road, 6th Floor, PO Box 183112, Columbus, OH
43218-3112. Condolences may be made at faresjradel.com

So sorry to hear about Funi. He was truly one of a kind. I have so many memories of him hanging around our house with Harry over the years. I especially remember the proud papa bringing his new baby girl over to our house for the first time to meet her. Know our thoughts and prayers are with you. Darrell and Nancy Rieder Tucker
