Robert Lewis Hodges March 28, 2024

Robert Lewis (Lew) Hodges age 74 of New Richmond, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Christ Hospital-Cincinnati, OH after a long illness. He was born on August 22, 1943 at Chesapeake, WV to Louis (Bud) Hodge and Ruby (Ball) Hodge. Lew attended East Bank High School and West Virginia University Institute of Technology.

Lew served his country as a member of the USAirForce /West Virginia Air National Guard. He also served as a Police Officer with the Glasgow, WV PD, Chesapeake, WV PD, and Marmet, WV PD. He retired from DuPont with 27 yrs.

Lew was a member of The Christ Church Cathedral of Cincinnati, OH and his hobbies included golf and playing the Blues on his guitar.

Lew’s quick wit and humor will forever be remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 37 yrs, Cheryl (Cheri) Connery Hodges, daughter Melissa (Patrick) Gruesser, son Brian Hodges, granddaughters Hailey Gruesser, Kaytee Hodges, Allyson Hodges and grandson Johnathon Hodges.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11:00am at the Marmet Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Marmet, WV with Rev. Damron Bradshaw officiating.

    Sorry to hear of Lewies passing we were good friends during highschool and after graduation. My prayers go out to the family and sure would have loved to see him one more time and hear his jokes and friendly chatter.
