James Gentry Simms, 69, of Cold Spring, KY passed away peacefully at home on July 8, 2016. James leaves behind his loving wife Janet Kivora-Simms. He will be dearly missed by his son, Major (Ret) USAF Christian Gentry (Julie) Simms along with his grandchildren; Alexandra Irene (Ricky) Vaughn, Seth Gentry Simms, Dr. Zachary Christian (Brittany Roland) Simms, Alexander Gentry Simms and great grandchildren Kennedy Summer and Brady Christian Vaughn. James served proudly in the Marine Corps. He was an avid humanitarian, animal lover and gardener (taking great pride in his annual pumpkin patch)! A private memorial service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers please make donations in James’ honor to The Civic Garden Center, 2715 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45206 or to St. Elizabeth Hospice of Northern Kentucky.
