Robert D. Groszer (Bob), 95, passed away peacefully in Cincinnati, OH, on May 17, 2025. He was born March 6, 1930, as the youngest of nine children born to Andrew J. Groszer, Sr., and Christina Marie (nee Schuman) Groszer of Baltimore, Maryland. He is survived by his son, Todd A. Groszer (Leslie); his sister, Mollie Groszer; a large family of nieces and nephews; and a Godson. He was predeceased by his loving partner, Donna Wirth; his parents; his siblings Madeline Frazier, Christina Cameron, Marie Riggins, Florence Donohue, Norma Martin, Andrew Groszer, Jr, and Thelma Snow.
Bob was proud of his Air Force career where he flew fighter jets in both the Korean and the Vietnam Wars. His awards and decorations included the Distinguished Flying Cross and thirteen Air Medals. Also, he was the longtime manager of the FAA’s Flight Standards District Office in Cincinnati until his retirement in 2002.
A military funeral will take place at the Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C., at a future date, yet to be determined.
