It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Kasanicky on May 12, 2025. Dave was born on March 7, 1956, in Warren, Ohio to William and Mary (Grajczar) Kasanicky.
In 1978, he married Lynnda, and they had 46 years filled with love and many adventures. They were blessed with an amazing daughter, Jennifer, who was Dave’s pride and joy!
Much of Dave’s career was spent providing outsourced CFO services for non-profit organizations in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area.
Dave was a phenomenal chef, and he enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, music and travel.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Frances (John) Julian. He is survived by his wife, Lynnda (Angst) Kasanicky, daughter, Jennifer (Connor) Powers and a sister, Christine Kasanicky.
We also want to express our gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of OHC Kenwood and the Blood Cancer Center at the Jewish Hospital in Kenwood. Everyone involved in Dave’s care was so dedicated, wonderful and kind.
If so inclined, donations can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Dave’s honor.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for June 7, 2025, and details will be provided soon.
Dave spent a lifetime building memories and friendships. We will hold him in our hearts forever!

May 17, 2025 at 6:29 pmPlease accept our condolences. I attended grades 1-12 with David. Played baseball with David in High School. We played in band during grades 6-8 at St. James. I spoke with David during the 50th class reunion at length during the weekend. He was a good person and friend. I lived in Florida for the last 40 years so we both chose different paths to pursue and lost contact. He did not mention any medical conditions during our conversations at the reunion. Our prayers are with David and his family. May he rest in peace. He suffers no more. I can be contacted at 321-223-3492 if you would ever need someone to listen.

Our deepest condolences. Our hearts are heartbroken. We are walking on this journey with you and here for however we can help. Dave had a personality bigger than life and his face beamed when talking about his family. May his perpetual light shine upon you the days and years ahead as you find a way to navigate through the hours, days and years without him. Love all off you. Ami, Ed, Marie, Natalie & Lauren
