Ada “Louise” Kirk, 94, of Fort Thomas, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, at Carmel Manor Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas McQueary and Charles E. Kirk; her daughter, Donna McQueary; her son, Jimmy Carpenter; her sister, Norma Reetz; and her granddaughter, Tammy McFarland. Ada is survived by her children, Libby (Wayne) Cook, Thomas Carpenter, and Tammy McQueary; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Lou Cord; her brothers, Bud Reetz and Charlie Reetz; and many loving nieces and nephews. Above all, Ada cherished time with her family. In her later years, her greatest joy came from being with her grandchildren, Corarinna and her husband David, “Little” David, Kaitlyn, and Luca. She found comfort in familiar routines, quiet moments with a good book, bird watching, and the steady presence of those who loved her most. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Ada will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Charles E. Kirk, at Alexandria Cemetery immediately following the service.
