Anthony E. “Tony” Waker, born as Antoine Yousef Kawerk, in Jounieh, Lebanon came to the United States in 1977 and became a US citizen in 1982. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service as a tax examiner in 1996 and went on to work as an interpreter for International Family Services helping at the justice center for those needing assistance. Tony is survived by his loving nieces Nathalie, Valerie, Adele and Nayla Kawerk, nephews Joe Kawerk and Marc Antoine Custaud and dear friend Brenda Fox. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 10am until time of service at 12 noon at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Newport.
