Carl E. Hatton, 87, passed away on September 3, 2023. He was born on December 26, 1935, in Newport, KY to the late Frank Hatton and Anna Gregg. Carl attended Newport High School and graduated in 1953. He married Ella Glacken on May 2, 1959, at Newport, KY. Carl worked at Standard Publishing for 30+ years, before retiring in 2001. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, UK basketball and the Cincinnati Reds. He was a proud member of the United States Army. He is survived by Carl Hatton Jr., James Hatton (Lisa), David Hatton and two grandchildren (Nathan and Emilie). Carl was preceded in death by his wife Ella Hatton. A gathering will be held on September 8, 2023, from 11:00 to 1:00 at the Fares J. Radel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Living Hope Baptist Church.
