Carolyn Hayes Ruley died peacefully on September 22, 2021 at the age of 95. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis B. Ruley, mother of Ann Ruley (Mark) Combs, and loving grandmother of Sarah (Ray) Clore and Derek (Katie) Combs; also survived by six great grandchildren – Carrie, RJ, and Sean Clore, and Charlotte, Nate, and Celine Combs. Her 35-year teaching career included Norwood High School, Finneytown High School, Wyoming High School (where she served as principal), and Princeton High School (where she retired in 1982 as Associate Principal). She graduated in 1946 from Marietta College, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Education from Miami University and a second Master’s Degree in Administration from Xavier University. She was a member of Christ Church, Glendale, OH. No services will be held, but memorial donations may be made to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, P.O. Box 5202, Cincinnati, OH 45201-5202.
