Cole Michael Kennedy, aged 20, passed away on November 10, 2024. He was born on May 28, 2004, in Highland Park, Illinois to Michael and Deirdre Kennedy. Cole grew up in Anderson Township where he attended Sherwood Elementary and Nagel Middle School, and he was a 2022 graduate of Turpin High School. He was a second-year student at Bowling Green State University where he was studying accounting.
Cole is survived by his parents and stepmom, his siblings, Max and Finn, two grandmothers, eleven aunts and uncles and twelve cousins.
His whole family is devastated by his loss.
Cole was a funny, hard-working, quirky and independent young man and we were so proud of how he was navigating early adulthood and taking on its challenges with determination. He loved climbing, hiking, and kayaking and hanging out with friends and his siblings. Cole loved to learn and would develop in-depth knowledge of topics that interested him. During the pandemic he decided to teach himself how to play the piano and systematically worked through instruction books until he could play some of his favorite songs by ear. He was amazing.
He had a stoic thoughtfulness that resonated with people who got to know him well. He is, and will always be, dearly missed.
A gathering will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 5pm-8pm at the Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, 5950 Kellogg Ave., Cincinnati OH 45230. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
