Glenn Russell Hall, 89, of Cincinnati, OH left this earthly life behind and stepped into eternity on August 10, 2025. Glenn was born on December 2nd, 1935, in Dayton, OH to the late Calvert & Flora Hall.
Glenn spent his early years moving around, spending time in Science Hill, KY, Miami, FL, Dayton, OH. Most of his high school experience was at Milford High School, although the family moved his senior year to Erie, PA where Glenn graduated in 1953. Glenn married Christine Barbara Oppen on April 27, 1968, and welcomed their son Kelly later that year, on Christine’s birthday.
Glenn was supported by Chris in all his business ventures, and they had a shared devotion to auto racing. Stereo-Pak was their first business, started in the late 60’s, that transitioned into the high performance automative shop and commercial machining business, named Hall Enterprises. Their passion for cars was both work and pleasure and they won the National Championship for their NHRA drag racing class in 1968. Glenn was a self-made man, never receiving any formal training or college education. He was inducted into the Chief Mechanic’s Hall of Fame for his contribution to drag racing. As Glenn moved to Indy Cars, they enjoyed the excitement of the racetrack, meeting celebrities and making lifelong friends.
Later, when most men start to slow down, Glenn learned to fly and eventually flew as a co-pilot on corporate jets with his friend and instructor Bill Whalen.
In 2005 Glenn became a grandfather to Caleb & Brayden, and again in 2007 with the addition of Jacob and his life was beyond full. He enjoyed watching the boys grow into young adults and sharing stories with them about all the good times.
Glenn is survived by his son, Kelly (Jennifer), Grandsons, Caleb & Jacob. Brother-in-law, Gary Daniels, nephew Andrew Daniels, niece Sarah Palmer (Steve) and grandnephew John Palmer. Glenn was preceded in death by his wife Christine of 56 years, parents, sister, sister-in-law Bonnie Daniels and grandson, Brayden Hall. A celebration of life for Glenn & Christine will be scheduled at a later date.
