October 24, 2025 at 8:26 pmI had not heard from my long distance friend, Hope, since Jan 25. We had been friends since about 2008 and some times chatted a lot, sometimes a few months would pass. I live in the UK, but love America and she loved all things British, so we got along fabulously. I visited her in Wilder, KY in 2019. I knew she had gone into a nursing home and when she didnt reply to my last few messages, I searched online and found this. I am pretty sure this is my friend Hope, as her birthday was May 15.
I just want to send my best wishes to any friends or family she may have. She was a very beautiful friend to me for a long time. She encouraged me as I raised my son to adulthood and beyond alone, and went through some of life’s trials and tribulations. We shared a love of cooking, travelling (even armchair travel) , you tube creativity and many things for sensitive, beautiful souls, as well as English tea and Cadburys chocolate 🙂 I am sorry to hear of her passing. My mother actually died the same day oddly, and it is perhaps a blessing I did not discover Hope’s passing until now (Oct 25). She was someone in the background of my life and I, in hers, a valuable and precious friend and I will always think of her fondly. Thank you Hope for all the smiles, kindnesses and support we shared and were able to give each other for many years. My best wishes to those who knew her.
