James “Jimmy” Matheson, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Mt. Washington Care Center. He was born on August 8, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois. Jimmy was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, honorably discharged with a Purple Heart Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal and United Nations Medal. After his service, Jimmy was a charter member of the First Marine Division Cincinnati Chapter, an active Teamster, entrepreneur, avid marathon runner, golfer and a passionate football fan. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Chan, and their children Tamara Matheson, Brian Chan, Melissa (Adam) Rosenhagen. A private service will be held in honor of Jimmy. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Sanctuary Hospice of Cincinnati.
