James Keene, 83 of Wilder passed away June 25 at his home. He was born in Canoe,KY by a midwife at the family farm on April 30,1929. James owned Keene parking in Cincinnati,OH and various real estate investments in Northern Kentucky. He is survived by his loving wife Edna (nee Gross) Keene of 62 years, sons Ronnie (Betsey) Keene, KY State Representative Dennis (Brenda) Keene and Rick (Jenny) Keene, brother Joe (Mary) Keene, sister Lizzie (Ance) Gilbert, 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers Wallace and Vincent Keene and sisters Nancy Turner and Emily Hall. James belonged to the Macedonia Church and was a member of the Masonic #163 Robert Burns Lodge in Newport. Visitation will be June 27 from 5-9 pm at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Cold Spring. Services will be held at the funeral home on June 28 at 11am. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery and following the service lunch will be served at the Wilder Civic Center. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Masonic Home of Kentucky 3761 Johnson Hall Drive Masonic Widows and Orphans Home, KY 40041.
