Jerome James Monahan November 13, 1941 - April 21, 2024

Jerome James Monahan, affectionately known as Jerry and Moose, peacefully passed away on April 21, 2024, at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Satu Scannell Monahan. Jerry is survived by his cherished children and their mother, Diane Monahan: Chris (Colleen) Monahan, Karen (Marc) Geiger, Kevin (Erica) Monahan, and Jerome Jr. (Jay) Monahan. He leaves behind a legacy carried on by his eight adored grandchildren: Allison (Kirsten) Hammer from Wisconsin, Kylie and Brady Monahan from Illinois, Bradley Geiger from Nevada, Caitlyn Blair from California, Caroline, Ellie, and Max Monahan from Cincinnati.

Jerry’s journey was shaped by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Henrietta Monahan, and his sister, Judy Doran. Survived by his brothers, Ed (Sandy) Monahan and Mike (Nancy) Monahan, his sister, Mary Jo (Dan) Jansen, and brother-in-law, Jim Doran. Jerry held a special place in the hearts of many nieces and nephews.

“Moose” was not only an enthusiast of golf but also a captivating conversationalist who found joy in engaging with everyone he encountered. A staunch advocate for union organizations, Jerry dedicated his career to Pipefitters Local 392 and served with distinction as the Executive Secretary of the Greater Cincinnati Building Trades.
