June Elin, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died March 19, 2013, age 90. Born to Paul and Elin Johnson in Kuling, Kiangsi, China, June 14, 1922, and lived her early years in China. After moving to the US and graduating from the Univ. of Minnesota, June married and raised a family in Brainerd, MN. They later moved to Cinti, where she also served as a children’s services social worker. She loved reading, writing, gardening, music and above all, her large family. Preceded in death by her daughter, Sara, she will be greatly missed by her 7 surviving children: Kristi, Sheryl (Neal), Thomas, Steven (Deborah), Mark (Susan), Kim (Wendy) and Joel (Adrienne). She was beloved by her 15 grandchildren: Rebecca, Matthew, Esther, Elin, Jesse, Sally, Isaac, Jessica, Michael, Julia, Carrie, Jared, Jillian, Laura and Carissa, and the proud great-grandmother of 5. A celebration of her remarkable life is planned for Sat. June 15th at 2pm, Maple Knoll Village, Springdale, OH. Memorial donations may be made to UNICEF.
