Margaret Rose Standriff October 14, 1941 - March 25, 2021

Margaret Rose Standriff, age 79, passed away on March 25, 2021 at her Cincinnati home. She was born on October 14, 1941 in English, Indiana, to the late Rev. George R. Bateman and Margurite {Showalter} Bateman. She married Wilbur G. Standriff on September 17,1960, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. They moved to Lima, Ohio, where they raised their family.  After being a stay at home mom, she worked at Elida High School, and then General Dynamics. Her family were members of Sherwood Park Swim Club, and created wonderful memories, with their many friends.  Margaret was a member of Phi Beta Psi Sorority, Iota Sigma Chapter. Once they moved to Cincinnati, Margaret worked for Fluor Daniel, and then Proctor and Gamble for 14 years, until she retired in 2012. She treasured spending time with her family, friends, from all stages of her life, traveling with her P&G bunch, going to Rod Stewart concerts, College Basketball, volunteering with the League of Women Voters Cincinnati Chapter, and at her church, Mt. Auburn Presbyterian as a Deacon and Treasurer. Margaret is survived by her loving children; James Bateman (Dan), Scott Standriff (Jennifer), Sandra Ernst (Mark); grandchildren Rilee & Casey Standriff, Quinn & Teegan Ernst; & several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur, and her siblings Freddie Bateman, Beulah Miller, James Bateman, & Naomi Jones.  Visitation will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 5pm until 8pm at the Fares J. Radel Funeral Home-Cincinnati. Due to COVID-19, a mask must be worn. A Celebration of Life will be held this summer, with more details to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Mt. Auburn Presbyterian Church at https://www.mtauburnpresby.org/, the Cincinnati Area League of Women Voters at https://my.lwv.org/ohio/cincinnati-area, or the Phi Beta Psi Sorority Attn: Kathy Stewart, Treasurer 718 Weber St. Elida OH 45807.
