Michael Robert McBroom July 8, 1963 - July 18, 2023

Michael Robert McBroom, 60, passed away on July 18, 2023 at home in Cold Spring, KY. He was born on July 8, 1963 in Covington, KY. He was in a committed relationship with Theresa Lustik.  Michael attended Thornton Fractional North H.S. (Calumet City, IL) and graduated in 1981. Michael worked at HLM LLC. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed shooting pool competitively, singing karaoke and spending time with his friends. He is survived by his four sisters:  Linda Estep, MarMae (Anthony) Roland, Peggy (Gene) Nourie, Patricia (James) Batus, and his son:  Michael Jeremiah McBroom. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Howard McBroom (2001); mother, Mar Mae McBroom (2020); brother, John McBroom (2013); and nephew, Matthew McBroom (2020). A “celebration of life” gathering will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 4:30-6:30+ at Top Ten Sports Bar in Wilder, KY. The family is asking for donations to be made to “The Friends of NorthKey” (NorthKey Community Care of Northern Kentucky at www.northkey.org) to help combat the devastating effects of mental illness and addiction. “All Mike ever wanted in his life was to love and be loved.”
