Ray Caldwell Shumway passed away peacefully on November 23, 2011 at the age of 84. Ray was a World War II Veteran, graduate of Ohio State University, and a Mechanical Engineer with General Electric for many years. He also volunteered at GE Elfuns Talking Books and enjoyed golfing with friends in his golf league the Par Hopers. He is survived by loving daughter Kathy (the late Craig) Maynard, sons Steven (Loretta) Shumway, Jeff (Mary) Shumway. Also left behind are beloved grandchildren Rhiannon Bachtle, Jason Shumway, Amanda Shumway, Marissa Mahle, Matt Maynard, and great-granddaughters Aubrey Mahle and McKenna Bachtle. Ray was preceded in death by wife Mary Louise Shumway, and parents, Ray Caldwell Shumway Sr and Edna (Gillespie) Shumway. Memorial Service to be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 101 South Lebanon Road, Loveland, Ohio, 45140 on Saturday December 3rd at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 101 South Lebanon Road, Loveland, Ohio, 45140.
