Robert McAtee, known to most as Bob, passed away on July 29th, 2025, at age 74. He was born on December 9th, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Bob was a graduate of Elder High School, and a devoted employee at Belterra Park for over 20 years. Bob loved horses, horse racing, and found joy in being at the racetrack. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, bird watching, playing chess, following sports, and caring for his beloved cat. Though he had no known surviving family, Bob was never truly alone. Those who knew Bob, remember his smile, humor, wit, and keen mind. In honor of Bob’s life, a gathering will be held on Thursday, August 14th, 2025, from 4:30pm until time of service at 6:00pm at the Fares J. Radel Funeral Home-Kellogg. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that donations be made to Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance or Ohio Alleycat Resource Clinic.
Bob McAtee: brilliant, hilarious, and unapologetically himself. He will be missed.
