Rosemary Placke-Dischar, 86, of Southgate KY passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 22, 2017. She now joins her parents, William & Rose Placke and her eight siblings in the Heavens above. She is survived by her children; Mike (Bridget) Dischar, Pat (Wayne) Gulley, Judy (Bill) Rawe, Susan Knapp, Andy (Diane) Dischar and Rosena Gerike. Rosemary will be dearly missed by her brother Lou Placke, 16 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 27 at 9:30 followed by mass at 10:30 at St. Joseph Parish, Cold Spring, KY. Immediate burial will take place at Floral Hills Cemetery.
Rosemary was a devoted mother to her six children. Besides being the head of her household, she started a career at the Baptist Convalescent Home in Newport and retired from Lakeside Nursing Home. She was nearing the end of her third year of living at the Bracken Co. Nursing and Rehab Center in Bracken Co. where she was inducted into the BCN&RC Hall of Fame by the State of Ky. There she continued to care for those around her with her smile and kind words. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
