Shirley M. Schneider, 85, of Cold Spring, passed away January 12, 2018. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Donald E. Schneider and her brother, Jack (Shirley) Humphreys. She is survived by her loving family: sons, Anthony (Cheryl) Schneider and Tom Schneider (Carla Beasley); daughter, Donna Schneider (Archer Austin); grandchildren, Eric and Cindy; great-grandchildren, Jason, Elizabeth, Kendra, Christopher and Ariana; and her trusty dog, Teddy. Shirley enjoyed her long career as a Registered Nurse with St. Elizabeth Hospital. She loved to have lunches, dinners and play cards with her group of nurse friends/gal pals. Shirley and her husband, Donald, were great ballroom dancers. Shirley was also known for being a wonderful hostess and entertaining. She was a devoted and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Shirley’s Life will be held Thursday, January 18 from 4:00 pm until time of Benediction services at 6:00 pm. Interment with take place privately at St. Joseph Cemetery.
