Stephanie Ann “Stevie” Early January 16, 1949 - May 13, 2026

Stephanie Ann “Stevie” Early, age 77, passed away on May 13th, 2026, peacefully with family by her side. She was born on January 16th, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Mary A. (Oelker) and Carl A. Schwing. She graduated from McNicholas High School and later attended the University of Detroit. An animal lover, Stevie enjoyed her time spent with horses growing up, and later in life the companionship of her beloved dogs Aggie and Ozzie. Stevie held a variety of positions throughout her life, primarily in medical offices. She always made it a priority to make sure people felt seen and heard and had a way of connecting with everyone she met. Known for her sense of humor and wit, many are fortunate to have shared memories with her where they laughed until they cried. She is survived by her cherished daughters, Katie (Chris) Kowalak and Sarah Tejeda, grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Jeff) Green, Carter Kowalak, Alex Kowalak and Peter Tejeda, great grandchildren, Bentley and Colton Green and her siblings, Carl M. (Mary Ellen) Schwing, Susan M. (Don) Popelar, Thomas T. (Mary Pat) Schwing, Jerome J. (Judy) Schwing, John P. Schwing and Joseph P. Schwing, and sister-in-law Susan Jane Schwing, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Stevie was preceded in death by her sister Mary Beth (the late Will) Gregg, her brother Robert L. Schwing and her nephews, James M. Schwing and Reece M. Schwing. In a final act of generosity, Stevie donated her brain to the Harvard Brain Bank to help further research into brain disorders. A gathering will be held to celebrate her life on Sunday, June 28th, from 11 am to 2 pm at the Moeller K of C, located at 2651 Bartels Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45244.
