Thomas R. Braunm, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, peacefully, surrounded by family. Born December 31, 1940, he was married to Mary Jo Braunm for over 53 years who proceeded him in death in 2012.
Tom grew up in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine where he met his bride to be during middle school. They became high school sweethearts, and later eloped at age 19. At age 23, they had their son Dan Braunm, followed almost four years later by their daughter Robyn Kueper (Braunm).
From an early age, Tom was a go-getter and became a self-made man. He had many jobs when he was younger but started working at a tool manufacturer which he eventually co-owned until he retired in 2006. Success of that business allowed he and Mary Jo to lead a fun-filled life, full of travel and adventures with family and friends.
After losing Mary Jo in 2012, Tom continued to lead a life filled with family, friends, fun, and food. He traveled to Key West regularly, saw friends, spoiled his grandchildren, and continued to plan family dinners and events. Tom’s hobbies included cooking, boating on Lake Cumberland, biking, and volleyball. When you were with him doing any of those, you were always guaranteed a good time and likely to learn something as he was always a patient teacher and coach.
Tom will be lovingly remembered by his son Dan and his husband, Stephen Haas. Robyn, his daughter and her husband Brent Kueper, as well as his three wonderful grandchildren, Cole, Ethan, and Quinn Kueper, who he loved to spend time with on a regular basis.
A celebration will be held to celebrate Tom’s life at a date to be determined in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.

Tom and I played basketball together at 6 am call the early bird club at Central High Gym. Later in life had a chance to work with him in providing staffing to Teledyne Precision on Ibson ave in Oakley. So proud that he became President and owner and how we rekindled our friendship.
