William Doppler, age 84, passed away on June 18th, 2012 at his residence in Anderson Township. Bill will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Gwen Doppler, and by children Greg (Julie) Doppler, Dori (Chip) Wilson, Traci (Gahlen) Johnson, Kirk (Sue) Horter, Drew (Gwen) Horter, Darcy Horter, Blake Horter, and 12 grandchildren. Bill also leaves behind his sister-in-law Mary and nieces Lisa and Lori. Bill is preceded in death by his brother and business partner Don Doppler, with whom he led the family business, The Johnson Doppler Lumber Company, for over 50 years. He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII and joined the Air Force after the war. A Memorial Service will be held at the Anderson Hills United Methodist Church on Friday June 22nd. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 with services starting at 2:00.
