Carl Douglas Walker, 82, passed away Sunday, April 5th, 2026, in Cincinnati, OH. He was born on August 6, 1943, in Hillsboro, OH to the late Robert and Johanna Walker. Carl attended Withrow High school and then Tri-State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Carl was a Civil Engineer and owner of Savage, Walker and Associates for many years. He also served as a Union Township (Ohio) Trustee. Carl loved to plan out and complete home improvement projects and he was always thinking about his next project. He will be sorely missed at the Home Depot. Carl also loved to explore the world, traveling, scuba diving and site seeing, but was just as happy spending time with his family at home. He was a friend to all and generously helped everyone he could. Anyone who was lucky enough to be a part of Carl’s life felt his love.
Carl was proceeded in death by Mary, his loving wife of 60 years. He is survived by his children Jenny (Ken) Sands and Mark (Dana) Walker; his grandchildren, Amanda (Anthony), Megan, Evan, Will, Grant and Nolan; his great grandchildren, Aurora, Aidan and Alice; Sisters, Estella (Larry) Gundler, Ann (Bruce) Faltin and brother Ed Walker.
A gathering will be held to celebrate Carl’s life on Monday April 13th from 4-7 at Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, 5950 Kellogg Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45230.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Matthew 25 Ministries.
