Daniel Edward Stenger, age 91, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, in hospice care, at his home. He was born on November 2, 1934, in Bellevue, Kentucky, to the late Elmer and Jennie Stenger. Dan attended Bellevue High School and graduated in 1953. He married Margaret Wheitkamp on August 29, 1964, at Sacred Heart Church in Bellevue, Kentucky, and they were married 60 years. Dan was in the Army, spending time at different bases in the United States and Europe. He worked as a piping designer for Proctor and Gamble for 27 years before finishing his career working projects for different engineering firms. In his spare time, Dan enjoyed doing a variety of home improvement projects and watching sporting events. He also enjoyed travel and cruises. Dan is survived by his sons Dan Stenger Jr and Jerry Stenger; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Stenger, sisters Patricia “Pat” Nicholson and Margaret “Peggy” Schafstall, brother Bartley “Dutch” Stener, and his parents. A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 10:30 am until 11:30am, at St. Joseph Church in Cold Spring, with a memorial mass immediately following at 11:30am.
