Dorothy “Dot” Lipscomb, age 84, of Newport, Ky, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2023. She was born the daughter of late Herbert and Mida Tipton on December 31, 1938, in Boone County, KY. Services will be held at 1:00 May 3rd at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, Ky.
To know Dorothy, is to know she was a devoted mother and grandmother. No one spread more love in one lifetime than she did, helping raise three generations. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and crafts of all sorts.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Harold Lipscomb; grandchildren, Jamie McElfresh, Stevie Griffith, Harold Lipscomb, and Charlotte Lipscomb; great grandchildren Haley McElfresh, Hannah McElfresh, Able Griffith, Naudia Govan, and Korra Maupin; and other family and friends.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lipscomb; daughter, Deborah Griffith; sister, Faye Tipton; grandson, Ronnie Griffith: and daughter in-law Barbra Lipscomb.
