It is with great sadness that we share that Gary L. Burns died September 23rd, 2026. He was born July 30th, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Gordon L. Burns and Betty Lou Burns. Having celebrated their ‘Golden’ Anniversary, Gary is leaving behind his treasured wife of 50 years, Susan Condit Burns; his sons Chris (Tess) and Brian (Jessy) Burns; and his grandchildren, Iris and Bishop, and Ella and Malaby Burns. Gary also leaves behind many friends and family, including Bonnie (Dan) Rebhun, Connie (Paul) Derry, Sarah (Mike) Rawley and many nieces and nephews.

The things that brought him the most joy were his family, faith, storytelling, and music. Gary marveled us all with colorful stories of growing up in Cincinnati, early adult years in California rocking the 60’s where he lived and proudly served in the US Military during the Vietnam era. Upon returning home to his Greater Cincinnati roots, Gary soon found the love of his life in Susan. Together they shared a life blessed with the family and many friends whom he adored. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his kindness, spunk, gentle nature and spirituality.

Services will be at the Old Armstrong Chapel on October 1st, 2026, at 10:00 with a coffee reception across the street at the Armstrong Coffee Bar after the service.
