Gary L. North, 62, passed away on February 1, 2026, at his home in Cincinnati, Ohio with his loving wife and dear friends by his side.
He was born on June 7, 1963, in South Fork, PA to the late William and Elinor North. Gary was a graduate of Penn State University where he earned both his Bachelor of Engineering and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, graduating in 1991. He worked for NASA in Cleveland, Ohio until 1995 when he joined GE Aviation in Cincinnati as a Principal Engineer where he remained until his retirement in 2023.
Gary was a man of deep faith who worshipped and served at his Crossroads church with joy. He loved cheering for the Steelers, making wine in his man cave and the fellowship of his Cincinnati Vintner’s Club friends. Gary’s sweet spot was grilling outdoors on his Traeger smoker, sharing delicious meals and laughs with those he loved. He found his deepest joy in the simple, quiet moments of life, shared with his wife, Julie, and their loyal canine sidekick, Max.
Gary is survived with love by Julie and his five siblings, along with brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends whose lives were blessed by his presence.
Friends are invited to a Visitation on Monday February 9, 2026, between 5pm and 8pm at the Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, 5950 Kellogg Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45230. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 11 am at Crossroads Church Eastside, 4450 Eastgate S Drive, Cincinnati OH 45245. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Gary’s memory to Crossroads Church, 3500 Madison Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45209.
