John Ned Barnes (10/25/37 to 1/25/14) was a wonderful Husband, Father, Papaw and Friend. He served his country in the Navy. John never went without a smile on his face. He was known as the biggest Ohio State Buckeye fan in KY! Survived by his children Lisa Barnes Lape(Dan), John Barnes(Lori Herbstreit) and Amy Barnes Noll(John). Grandchildren; Kelly Sims(Jeffery),Jennifer Lape(Leah), Jessica, Katie, Sarah, Samantha, Ian and sister Jean Staten. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years Betty and brother Bill. A gathering hour will be held at 4p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2014 followed by a 5p.m. Catholic Memorial Mass at Holy Name Catholic Church 2448 Auburn Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45219. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport, KY or American Diabetes Association of Kansas.
