John Robert (Bob) Frese of Liberty Township, OH, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the age of 88. Bob was the son of the late William and Clara Frese of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is survived by his older brother, William L. Frese of Cincinnati, Ohio. Devoted husband of 66 years to Rita Marie (Ridge) Frese. Loving father of Carol (Tom) Turek, Claire (Charlie) Huber, Mary Lou (Jerry) Becker, Jackie (Bill) Snyder, Robert (Debi) Frese, and Chris (Perry) Walters. Blessed with twelve grandchildren; Tammy (Pete) McClure, Dawn (Rob) Johnston, Jenny (Jon) Sellers, Amy (Rick) Weisbrodt, Brian (Heather) Hart, Kelly (Nathan) Lynch, Sarah (Andy) Thien, Jessica Snyder, Abby (J.B.) Cochran, Adam (Sarah) Huber, Roy Walters, Mikeila Walters, five step-grandchildren; Jennifer (Bruce) Hutton, Charlie (Tricia) Huber, Matthew (Karen) Huber, T.J. (Christy) Dixon, Trevor Dixon, fifteen great grandchildren; Brandy, Misty, Cody McClure, Miloh Huber, Max, Brooke Weisbrodt, Ella, Josiah Lynch, Andy, Emily Johnston, Samuel Sellers, Lily, James William Cochran, and twelve step-great grandchildren; Shelby, Eric Hutton, C.J., Casey, Anthony Huber, Brooke, Tiffany, Jessica Huber, Trey, Kearston, Kelsey, Kiley Dixon. Bob was a veteran of WWII and a survivor of The Battle of the Bulge. He is a retiree of the Diamond International and Jefferson Smurfit Corporations.
Friends and family may gather at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church at 330 Lebanon Street, Monroe, Ohio from 10 to 11 A.M., Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Mass will follow at 11:00 A.M. A luncheon will be served in the church hall immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Ave., Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
