Judith Laura Schmidt (nee Fries), 92, a resident of Anderson Township, passed away October 13, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Ray Schmidt. Cherished daughter of the late Jerome Fries and the late Genevieve Fries (nee Grimm). Devoted mother of Brenda (Earl) Schmidt and Sharon (Richard) Seybold. Loving grandmother to Lindsey (Brody) Seybold, Nicole (Chad) Pelvit, Andrew (Danielle) Seybold, and Will Bradley. Dear great-grandmother of 10. Loving sister of Patricia Fehn, Jackie Gloeckner, the late Jerry Fries, the late Roger Fries, Alan Fries, the late David Fries, and Nancy Beimesche.

Judy appreciated spending time with family and friends. She loved picnics at the family farm, playing cards with friends and neighbors, and sharing her love of cooking and baking with her daughters and grandchildren. Judy also enjoyed gardening – tending to her own beautiful gardens and admiring those of several family members. In her later years, she took pleasure in working on puzzles and rooting for her favorite teams, the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14 from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at Guardian Angels Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Judith will be in interred at Guardian Angels Cemetery alongside her loving husband, following mass.
