Richard Allen Pardini October 11, 1931 - December 21, 2022

Richard Allen Pardini passed away peacefully on December 21, 2022 at the age of 91.

Loving husband and devoted partner to Dr. Doris Lawrence (deceased 2017). Richard is survived by Anita Bolce (nee Cook), daughter Sabrina Cunningham (Pat), son Rick Pardini (Kathy), and son David Lawrence (Wendy). He was grandfather to Jennifer Houchin (Jason), Jim Cunningham (Rebecca), Shannon Cunningham, Ann Muennich (Nick), Sarah Steitz (Thomas), Jonathan Pardini (Nikkita), Michael Cunningham (Monica), and Dorothy and Vivian Lawrence. Richard was great-grandfather to Quintin Crowe, Kayla Collett, Fletcher Muennich, Thomas and Lucas Steitz, Mason and Gianni Pardini, and Theodore Cunningham. And great-great grandfather to Kinsley Jouett.

Richard, who went by Rich and Dick, also leaves behind many other family and friends, including football teammates and colleagues who he mentioned often when recounting his life — calling himself lucky to have done so much that he “wouldn’t change a thing.”

Born in Pittsburgh on October 11, 1931, Richard grew up in a large and colorful second-generation Italian family. Richard took to sports early on, playing football at Dormont High School and then on scholarship at Duquesne University.

In 1952, Richard transferred to the University of Cincinnati and played football for coach Sid Gillman. After graduating with a degree in education, Richard began teaching at Sands School, then took positions at Heinold Junior High School, Norwood High School, and in the Mt. Healthy School District. In 1970, he received his Master’s in Education and went on to serve as principal for Mt. Healthy Schools.

A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at Pearl’s (3520 Eastern Avenue, 45226) on Sunday, February 5, 3pm–7pm.
