Frank Minning August 3, 1940 - May 25, 2025

Frank Minning, 84, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, at his home. He was born on August 3, 1940, in Cincinnati to the late Bertha Donnelly and Adrian Minning. After meeting the love of his life, Sally, at Walnut Hills High School, Frank attended DePauw University and the University of Cincinnati, graduating in 1966. Frank and Sally married on June 20, 1964. Frank worked for Central Trust Bank, Fifth Third Bank, and Merrill Lynch, before retiring to play golf full-time at Coldstream Country Club. Frank enjoyed watching sports, especially Bengals games with his daughter Amy and Reds games with his grandson Drew. Frank loved his country and was a proud member of the United States Air National Guard. Frank is survived by his beloved wife Sally, daughter Amy Minning of Arlington, Virginia, daughter Jenny Gavin and son-in-law Charlie Gavin, granddaughter Ashley Gavin of Chicago, Illinois, and grandson Drew Gavin. There will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Hospice of Cincinnati East. (https://hospiceofcincinnati.org/donate/)

    I am sorry to hear of Frank’s passing. I couldn’t have had a better mentor, golf coach and friend. He will always be remembered with fondness and gratitude for everything he has done.
