I remember first meeting Joey at a performance at Arnold’s. We were recruiting fresh music for the Rootwire Festival. Impressed with his playing, along with his mates, we all met up aftershow. I became his friend that night, as did many who would meet him later. That’s how many will remember him. Friend.
We should all be so blessed…

I got to meet Joey through Patrick. Whenever I went over Joey was always up to hang out with us, play video games, in a way he really was a “big brother” role model to me. He was funny, had his share of fun, but always showed love and compassion to his family and friends. He truly was a good soul and I look back on these fond memories with a smile. Rest easy Joey and thanks for always being there.
