In Loving Memory
Of
Dora Mae Franklin
Dora Mae Franklin, 89, of Crestview Hills, KY a former longtime resident of Covington, departed this life after a short illness on Thursday December 21. She was the wife of the late James E. Franklin.
Born and raised in Covington, she was the daughter of the late Eliza Belle Weathers and Les McKee.
Dora was blessed with three siblings Olivia Mayberry, Easter “Man” Weathers, and Robert Weathers Jr. All in which preceded her in death.
Dora loved and worshiped the Lord always thanking and praising him for blessing her with such an abundant life. Dora loved providing service to others and it showed, as she worked as a dietary aide up until she was 80 years of age in a healthcare facility that cared for the elderly as well as children with developmental disabilities.
Dora enjoyed shopping, listening to music, dancing especially at the nightclub she and her late husband owned called the “Rainbow Club”, going to the beauty salon and solving crossword puzzles. She also loved gardening; watching soap operas & reality TV, playing scratch-offs and the lottery. Dora also enjoyed visiting casinos and eating “Black Walnut” ice cream.
Dora is survived by a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Aunt Dora Mae
The moment that you left me, my heart was split in two, one side was filled with memories, the other side died with you. I often lay awake at night when the world is fast asleep, and take a walk down memory lane with tears upon my cheek. Remembering you is easy, I do it every day but missing you is a heartache that never goes away. I hold you tightly within my heart and there you will remain, you see life has gone on without you but will NEVER be the same. Love eternally, your baby Delise

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until time of Celebration of Dora Mae’s Life at 7:00 pm. Fares J Radel Funeral Home 5950 Kellogg Ave. Cincinnati, Ohio 45230
